Hi all! We’re so excited that the Amy Butler trunk show has arrived. During Church of Craft we took a sneak peak at the goods. We were interested in how the laminated fabric looks since we’ve had a hard time getting it in. Wait until you see it! Hope ours comes soon!
We’ll be hosting an Amy Party on Friday, June 4th from 6 – 8pm. We hope you can join us. Since she will be unable to attend, Ms. Butler sent some great prizes for us to give away and we’ve gotten in some cute new things, too (this photo is a hint)! We’ll be doing several drawings during the festivities and oohing and aahing over our Student Trunk Show as well!
Just like last year, you can bring in your Amy Butler items for us to display in the shop with the Student Trunk Show this week and get a cute little prize! Bring them by during our regular hours anytime this week and we’ll keep them on display throughout next week. It can be anything Amy… something from one of her patterns, something from her fabric, or something from her pattern and fabric! Last year we had some great items. I can’t wait to see what you can cook up this year!

That’s right! Mark your calendars for June 3rd through the 17th and be sure to make time to stop in to
see Amy Butler’s new trunk show! Although Amy won’t be visiting this year (we had a great time with her last year), she is sending samples of her great new patterns for us all to look at and be inspired by. We’ll be stocking our shelves with new fabrics and patterns leading up to the week of the show to give you more reasons to stop on in.
In honor of our new place (and to give ourselves a set goal date to be finished with painting, decorating, and unpacking) we’ll also be planning some great customer appreciation events for the month of June all to be kicked off by a little bit of celebrating!
The ‘liverpool’ is one of Amy’s new patterns. We’ve got several in stock and it sure does work up cute! This sweet tunic can be made long or short to be worn as a shirt or dress. So perfect for summer! Imagine it with some great vintage buttons…

Well, that’s exactly what a group of 12 friends did at Stitch last weekend. They brought their machines, fabrics, patterns and supplies and had a great afternoon laughing, sewing and actually learning, too! A Private Sewing Party just for your friends-what a great idea!! We have the space, you have the friends, perfect!

If you haven’t seen Amy Butler’s Midwest Mod collection, you don’t know what you’re missing. Lots of way cool vintage looking prints-excellent for the Easy Peasy Quilt class scheduled for Thursday nights June 25 & July 2 from 6-9pm. Yep, I said easy peasy, if you can sew a straight line you can make this quilt-I’m not lyin’!!

…what could be better? Our evening with Amy Butler was fabulous. Thanks to all who joined us, it was a little crowded there for awhile-I like to think of it as cozy. She brought along many models-made up in MIdwest Mod II fabrics and other collections. What fresh colors and prints, pale greens, blues, greys, oranges and pinks. Bags in all different sizes and shapes, with zippers and without, pillows with ball fringe-too cool!! Quilts, shaped pillows, baby kimono pj’s, and some apparel patterns, too!
She signed books and patterns and shared news of what’s coming up-fantastic news about her soon to be released “amy butler softwares with Electric Quilt Company“. I can’t wait to get my hands on one! New pattern releases, stationery products and more. Many of our Stitchy friends joined us, and babies, too! Amy is just the sweetest person you’d ever want to meet, her fresh personality and outlook is certainly reflected in her work.
We’ll be seeing Amy again at market in May and maybe get a glimpse of these new products that we will for sure be getting in the store soon.
