Class calendar is live

The Stitch Cleveland class calendar page is now live. Take a look at our great first month’s classes! (And if something doesn’t look quite right, let us know what OS and browser you use — I had to do some funky coding to get it to display correctly inside the page template).

The calendar is still being updated and organized, so please email us at shop@stitchcleveland.com if you have questions or are interested in a class. If the timing isn’t quite right for you, let us know! We want to offer our classes at times that work for as many people as possible. And don’t forget, we offer private lessons in almost all our class subjects as well.

Countdown one week until our first class in the new space. We’re excited and hope you are, too! See you soon at Stitch Cleveland.

Mark your calendars: Knit in Public Day

Stitch Cleveland and our neighbor River Colors Studio will be hosting an all-day knit-in event for Worldwide Knit in Public Day June ninth. Drop by with your latest project or cast on something new, enter our drawings for free classes and other goodies, and have a snack or two! See you there.

Welcome to Stitch Cleveland!

Stitch Cleveland is northeast Ohio’s creativity central, a space where fiber and fabric come to play.

Among our inspirations: NYC’s make workshop (hi Diana!), San Francisco’s Stitch Lounge, Boston’s Spark Craft Studios (hi Jan & Amy!) and Etsy Labs.

What can you do at Stitch Cleveland? Learn how to sew, knit or felt. Get together with friends new and old at a Swap-O-Rama-Rama and deconstruct/reconstruct garments. Take a fashion illustration class. Buy one of a kind hand-dyed fibers or patterns by independent designers. Meet an author or visiting teacher. There’s always something exciting to choose from at Stitch Cleveland.

We’ll be opening our bright blue door (directions) in June. Meanwhile, you can sign up for our mailing list on the right sidebar or for classes. Come be our MySpace friend and share the love!
