You’ve never been to an Expo like this one!! Talk about fabric, you’ll find some awesome fabrics here for sure, along with tons of other sewing goodies. We went last year, and drove right back the next day, too! It’s in Novi, Michigan , September 25th – 27th – and a quick 2-1/2 short hours away, in the Rock Financial Showplace, very impressive digs, too! Parking is very convenient.

Oh, and take something you made and be sure to have your photo taken at the Yes, I Made It Booth! Photos are posted on their website. We took totes that we made last year. They have lots of events during the Expo, too, like the Re-Construction Zone with the Threadbanger Duo ( I love them!), Passion for Fashion Sewing Challenge, The Sew Experience Cafe, oh, and lots of great classes, too.
So get your sewing friends together for a day trip! You won’t be disappointed-I promise! . Stop in the store for a brochure.
Now that the new school year is upon us, we will all need to be more diligent about planning! Church of Craft is the perfect opportunity to make time for yourself. We’re meeting on the last Saturday of the month now at Stitch Cleveland from 1 – 4pm! Stop in… it’s really an informal social setting for you to get your crafty on. Bring in some projects you’ve been meaning to get to or some things you’ve completed. We can help you or give you praise for your flawless and wonderful creations! We’ll see you tomorrow!

Another great project using channel quilting. Great for organizing your projects or the kids toys, and they make great gift baskets, too! Join us for this fun class where you’ll learn how to insert a round bottom and how to make different size baskets, too. Saturday morning, August 15th, 9am-noon.
I made this one for a baby shower, and stuffed it with disposable diapers. Wouldn’t this also make a great gift for a new knitter, add some yarn and a pattern-she’ll love it!

Quilted Cosmetic Bag
These cosmetic bags are addictive! Learn several techniques including how to quilt your fabric. This months quilted cosmetic bag workshop is Thursday evening, August 13th, 6-9pm. Call ahead to register. Cost is $35 and includes all supplies. Cool deal!

Applique Cosmetic bag
These bags are the coolest project to learn different techniques aren’t they? Adding another technique to your file with this personalized bag is applique. In this workshop you will learn how to apply an applique and contrast trim along the bottom of the bag to give it a personal touch. I know someone who would love one of these for her birthday & I’m sure you know someone, too!! This workshop is offered Thursday evening, August 20th, 6-9pm. Cost is $35 which includes all supplies.
Have you tried an Amy Butler pattern yet? Some people are a little intimidated by the complexity of the finished product, but if you take it step by step you’ll be surprised at how easy it is! Join us for a group class where we will make the Birdie Sling from start to finish! This is a great way to learn to read from a pattern, brush up on your skills, or just take advantage of some uninterrupted stitching time!
