Heidi Massingill

Heidi Massingill is an obsessed seamster and experienced dressmaker/designer and “seamologist”. Her design studio specialized in original Bridal design, custom  special occasion wear and womens fine tailoring prior to opening the storefront at Stitch.    Her resume includes The Phantom of the Opera, The Cleveland Ballet, The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Peter’s Store for Women in Chagrin Falls, Wally Waterdrop, NEORSD mascot, among others.  She designed and constructed the gowns for The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus and continues to update them yearly.

Along with Megan through the Cleveland Film Commission, she worked under the direction of costume designer, Abigail Murray on the movie, Alex Cross,starring Tyler Perry & Mathew Fox. (Megan’s dress is in the movie!)   She was recently hired by NYC to design and construct their new Ready Girl super hero mascot, representing ReadyGirl NY through the NYC Emergency Management offices.

She shares her sewing knowledge by teaching kids to sew  through private and group classes.

Megan Engelmann


Megan is a Kent State University Fashion School Graduate. She has been sewing for over 20 years. She grew up watching her super-mom, Heidi, make everything she could with her magical sewing machine! Inspired at a young age by Heidi and her grandmother, Honey, Megan follows in their creative footsteps.

Megan specializes in patternmaking and fashion illustration/ design. You can find her sketches and designs all over Stitch Cleveland. She can help you take your designs from paper to dressform before you know it!

Megan lives with her husband David and their kiddies Connor, Liam, Rex & Camille. The dog, Lili squeezes in there too!
